Introduction to Babywearing – Ring Sling & Mei Tai

No Comments 30 April 2012

Hauling around a stroller or infant carseat can be exhausting, but carrying a baby in your arms can be exhausting as well. This free class will show you two styles of baby carriers and slings that can allow you to carry your baby and still have both hands available for other tasks. Carriers and slings are lightweight, easy to store, and take less time to put on with baby than it takes to get the stroller out of the trunk. Great for travel and everyday errands. We’ll discuss babywearing safety then try on different carriers, so bring your baby to get the best experience. Moms, dads, grandparents and other caregivers are encouraged to attend.

Organic bedding at Green Bambino

1 Comment 22 March 2012

For many months, customers asked us if we carried organic bedding items. We always had to say no. Bedding items were not something we originally envisioned carrying at Green Bambino. But as time passed, we realized organic mattresses and bedding items weren’t available elsewhere, and customers continued to tell us no other stores carried any kind of selection.

So we listened. Recently we brought in mattresses and bedding from Green Buds. These mattresses are made from coconut and are the most natural, organic mattresses we could find. They also provide a non-toxic waterproof crib mattress protector. Add in organic cotton sheets and you have a full lineup. Then we brought in bamboo sheets for bassinets and cribs from Bamboobino. And the icing on the cake are organic cotton muslin sheets from Aden + Anais.

One of our employees donated an old crib to us, so now we have a beautiful display to show you the different options. I hope you’ll stop by soon to see what’s new!

New lower price on Babycook – $124.95!

No Comments 14 December 2011

Most of the staff here at Green Bambino made their children’s food. Some of us did it the old-fashioned way with pots and pans and blenders. Some of us got to use the Babycook. All of us realize the value of fast prep and easy clean up – two things the Babycook does so well.

Just in time for the gift-giving season, Beaba has allowed Green Bambino to announce a new lower price on the Babycook – just $124.95!

New Parent Class (We’re back home…now what?)

1 Comment 25 October 2011

There is a wealth of information about infants and how to care for them. But, when one expert says to do one thing and another tells you not to do that very same thing, how can you know what is right for your baby and your family?

All the books and other people’s well-intentioned advice is meant for the average baby. This class will help you know what to do for your baby. Every infant has ways to communicate with you. There is a way to know if your infant is hungry, needs to burp, pass gas, wants to go to sleep, etc. Once you understand the ways your baby communicates you will be able to choose the right things to do with confidence. This class will help you to understand your baby’s language and specific needs.

In addition, you will learn:

•How to swaddle your baby and why you will want to

•Proven soothing methods to calm any baby

•Hunger cues as well as how to know when you baby is satiated

•Tips on ways to bond with your newborn

•Two great massage techniques

•Answers to parents FAQs as well as a chance to ask your own questions

Newborns welcome. Please register below.
